"Upon arrival, a manager was yelling at a staff member at the front desk about his poor job performance. Despite me standing there for a few minutes - he did not stop berating the employee and I chose to leave the lobby until he stopped. It made the whole place feel unsafe for me and my daughter. Parking was easy, the pool looked nice though it wasn't swimming weather. Our room was generally clean, but walls and other deep cleaning spots were dirty. "The “Terrible”overall rating is due to the manager, M.R. We asked if we could check in 55 min early. M.R. stated that there was a room available but the early check-in fee would be $20.00! What a complete turn off. $20 for a “early” 55 min check-in. If M.R. is a reflection of this hotel’s management / ownership, this may be a place you might want to avoid. However, the rest of the staff, especially the breakfast lady, were marvelous. Maybe they know that they have some making up to do."

"Service was excellent. When we arrived, we were greeted and shown around the property, assisted with the luggage and showed us to our room. For breakfast, we arrived a little early, but the waiter and kitchen staff accommodated us as we needed to head up the coast to the Monterey area. The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed breakfast outside on the veranda. We would have loved to stay longer, but time did not allow."

"A lovely new and clean space. It had all the amenities you would need plus more. Full kitchen with just enough dishes for a small family. There are 6 units connected in an apartment style building so expect some noise from your neighbors, it's not 100% sound proof. Parking is tight, space for 1 medium size vehicle. Leave the truck at home, it will not fit. Overall an excellent stay that is a few short blocks from the sand."

"Such a great B and B! We had the Balcony Room, which is on the second floor of the main 1890s house. The room is smallish, and the bathroom is very small, but it doesn't matter! Very cute and cozy, didn't mind the size. Having a fridge in the hallway just steps from the room was a plus. Delightful gourmet breakfast and array of cakes and cookies at tea time. Very nice staff too."

"Parking is fine. Staff is friendly. I think the only thing to take note is that it does not have a lobby. You pretty much communicate through texting / calling. Other than that, it was perfect. "
