"We stayed in this hotel for three days while we explored Kandy. The hotel itself is set in a beautiful serene. There is a high level of attention to detail with the rooms, everything has been carefully considered. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Although the hotel is outside of the city, the hotel is more than happy to arrange transport to and from the centre at short notice. The food is cooked to order and tasted delicious. Would highly recommend this hotel."

"Sehr schönes Hotel in einer alten Teefabrik. Herausragend war die Freundlichkeit des Personals. Das Essen war herrvorragend und die Zimmer sehr sauber. Wir bekamen eine Führung in der Teefabrik wo uns der Teeprozess erklärt und gezeigt wurde. Auch eine Wanderung wurde angeboten. Alles in allem nur zu empfehlen!! Bei der Hinfahrt ist es besser nach dem Weg zu fragen. Google maps führt woanders hin. "

"The place was absolutely beautiful. Our room had stunning views and the facilities overall were excellent, new and very well maintained. The food was great, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We also did a trekking tour organized by them, which turned out to be a wonderful experience. This is truly a fantastic place that I highly recommend to anyone visiting Sri Lanka, far away from the chaos and mass tourism."

"Good place to stay in Kandy. Walking distance to most attractions. Unfortunately hotel has NO lifts and being 4 stories may prove difficult for some. Wide stairs and port service does overcome this but could be better. This should be highlighted in advertising. Breakfast buffet excellent, with evening meals available. Great view over Kandy spoilt a little by substandard building close next door. Hotel unlicensed for alcohol but I understand this is being addressed."

"This hotel was beautiful, but the road to get there may not be worth it. It eventually turns into a dirt road and it can be dangerous. It is a very long way up the mountain. The only way to get there is a tuktuk or scooter, but that still could be dangerous. Just know that it is a long way out of Kandy."

I yet again walk in a blissful valley of peacefully flowing river, of endless sight, of warm sunshine, of glowing grass and blooming flowers, of blue sky and white clouds, of serene village life and adventurous mud road, of untold stories and some historic memories. As I walk by the river bank falling in love with every moment passing by under the golden sunshine, I am reminded of the eternal beauty of this wonderful earth which never stops to surprise us. We humans have created huge expectations of a 'Beautiful' world, sometimes overlooking the little joys of exploring and discovering the simplistic beauty of a neighboring land. If explored with a open mind and joyful heart you will discover beauty in every corner of the earth. P.S. - This valley with a river was outside my Airbnb stay in Kandy.
