The staff could not have been friendlier. They arranged everything from pick up at the airport to the boat from the pier and a tour of Uros. A wonderful experience overall.
Eder and family were incredible hosts with a wonderful setup in the Uros floating community off of Puno. The meals were all simple and delicious. The room we had was a very cool A frame with plenty of glass to soak in the views and night sky. Highly recommended a stay at Casitas Del Titicaca!
We had an amazing one night experience staying at Casita del Titicaca. The hospitality was outstanding and we very much enjoyed Edens company. He took us fishing, arranged for logistics to and from Puno and served us excellent meals for dinner, breakfast and lunch, food was both fresh and tasty and we had desserts as well.
The bathrooms are as comfortable as can be but we did have hot showers (low water pressure but thats a given). The beds were warm and comfortable and all three of us slept really well.
The decor was authentic and aesthetically pleasing. The room was super spacious and the outside deck area was beautiful with beds blankets as well as seating to watch the sunset. We loved eveeything about the stay!
Casitas del Titicaca was a highlight of our month-long trip to Peru. Such a unique property! Eder and his family were exceptional hosts. We arrived to the port in Puno shortly after sunset. Eder met us at the port and navigated us to the island by moonlight—a magical start to our two-night stay.
We booked two spacious lodges, each with modern bathrooms, hot showers, and king beds. Each lodge also had outdoor beds and hammocks overlooking the lake. We had lovely weather while visiting and very much enjoyed relaxing in the sunshine while gazing out at the lake. Though nights were cold, the rooms had gas heaters to keep us cozy.
Meals, prepared by Eder’s mother, were simple and delicious. Breakfast was included. They accommodated our Celiac guest with great care.
On our first full day, Eder gave us a personalized tour of the Uros community, sharing his upbringing and showing us local islands, shops, and schools. His insights into life on a floating island made the experience truly special.
On our last day, he arranged a tour of Taquile Island. While we were off on that excursion, Eder delivered our luggage to our hotel in Puno—an incredibly thoughtful gesture that let us enjoy the day worry-free.
We highly recommend Casitas del Titicaca and would love to return!
