"Staff were impeccable. Food excellent. Whole standard of the place was top class. Just a few minor points to note & could be improved - bedroom window could not be opened to let in fresh air & badly needed dusting. Not enough electrical sockets & could have been better positioned close to mirror for make up, hair etc. Other than that, it was a beautiful atmospheric and classy hotel and full of character. "

The ‘pub’ on site was great, good menu and attentive staff. Breakfast was excellent- the ‘senior gent’ working there is a fabulous asset and really went out of his way to make everything perfect. "Clean, easy check in. AJ on reception was lovely. Really helpful when I was checking in solo with a sleepy child. Great value. Parking was free as over the road at west street (council owned carpark) as it was after 10pm and we left before 6"
