White Sands is the largest gypsum dune field in the world. It is located in the northern end of the Chihuahuan Desert in New Mexico. Lake Lucero is on military land and accessible to the public by guided tours only. Reservations are needed for the guided tours. When visiting White Sands it's necessary have plenty of water and be protected from the elements as it's easy to become lost.

"Front desk lady was very pretty, she was also really nice and welcoming. She was able to accommodate My Family’s rooms next to each other. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and good vibes through out the hotel. Breakfast and coffee was hot and on point. The hotel is also at a very good location with restaurants at a walking distance. Will definitely stay here again next time i come to El Paso. "

"Staff friendliness from checking in to checking out. Standard King room was spacious enough and very clean and comfortable. Only a couple of minor things, floor lamp fixture loose out of socket, a good deal of scratches on a nightstand and toilet was loose between base and floor. Otherwise a great value with a nice breakfast buffet and coffee throughout the day, maybe consider a size increase for the TV’s as 32” is a bit small. "
