My room was directly above the kitchen/loading area and it was honestly unbelievable how much noise the staff were making "cleaning up" in the evening, consistently from about 8pm-11:30pm when I had enough. The pub itself is gorgeous, decorated beautifully, it is cosy and inviting and located in a lovely spot by the stream.Although the actual car park itself was small this was no problem as we parked literally a couple of minutes away on the lane, perfect as it allowed the opportunity to see a tiny red squirrel busy in a nearby tree. "The Inn is perfectly located for enjoying Kirkby Stephen. The staff - especially Jacqui - is super helpful and kind. Really enjoyed our brief time there. Our friends who stayed down the street were wishing they had booked here. Be prepared to carry luggage upstairs and know the bed isn’t super big by American standards. "

"Not very clean in the room and toilet,curtains was hanging off the runner's. There are 2 main roads each side of the hotel and it was very noisy.when booking they did say they didn't have a car park,but it was ok to use the hotel across the road,there isn't an hotel across the road.the only parking was a cricket club 500mtrs plus down the Rd to park at"
