Liked the staff. Only saw 2 ladies but both were helpful, although the receptionist didn’t seem to understand much English. I didn’t mind that because, after all, my Turkish is terrible. Breakfast was nicely laid out and decent. The bedroom was clean, with lovely, white bedding. However, you bang your arm on the sink when you go to the loo, the container for toilet paper (which, of course, you can’t put down the loo) is open. For the sake of hygiene it should have a lid.
The aircon worked and I was able to change the language and log into my Prime account and watch a tv programme before sleeping, which is often not the case in Turkish hotels. The WiFi was very good. The view of the tombs from our nice little balcony was lovely.
My main complaint is that the hotel says that the rooms are soundproofed and this is not the case. I could hear doors banging until 4 in the morning, people talking as they came up the stairs and cars and motorbikes on the road outside. The fact that the website said the room was soundproofed was the main reason I booked that hotel and so I was very disappointed.
