"Location to Victoria harbour was great. BC transit is just outside and fairly cheap for a day pass although staff weren’t able to provide information about it. Good parking including secure underground. Hot tub was okay but has no jets. Pool was an okay temperature. Nice having a restaurant onsite as this hotel does not provide breakfast."

"If one is disabled or has trouble with stairs the first floor and best seats in the Dining area can be a challenge. We came in back door as that was the image seen in ad and had two sets of stairs up and one down with all our luggage. Once checked in since we were on first floor we once again had to go up 2 sets of stairs with our luggage. The room was great, breakfast was amazing"

"We had a very good stay at SoLo Suites. The property is clean, well organized, and feels quite new. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite with a king-size bed and a sofa. The suite has a laundry, and a kitchen with basic cookware and kitchenware, which is very convenient. Just be aware that there are no basics such as salt or spices, so you may want to bring your own if you plan to cook. There are also no paper towels in the kitchen for environmental reasons, so I’d suggest bringing some if you think you’ll need them. The sofa is large enough to be used as a bed, but there were no spare sheets or quilt in the room. Bed sheets are available upon request, but a blanket is the only option for bedding, which was perfectly fine for us in the summer. Location is convenient—about a 10-minute walk from Langford city centre and close to shops, restaurants, and other amenities. Dog friendly with a fee. Overall, a clean, comfortable, and well-equipped place to stay. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it!"

"This was our first time to Victoria and staying at the Empress. The hotel was amazing!! I can not say enough how well maintained everything was, the beauty of everything was unreal. The location was perfect, we could walk to most places we wanted to go for sightseeing. The Empress has a really nice restaurant but the hotel is close to many other great ones around if you want to try something else. We would definitely stay here again."
