"You pay for fancy lobbies or pools or free breakfast in big chain hotels where they lack character and are not at all convenient to check in or unload luggage.plus you CC pay for the amenities you often don’t need or use. "I stay at a lot of budget motels, had mostly sworn off the Motel 6 brands after bad experiences, but this one is GREAT. I could not believe it. Pool is as great as looks in photos. Room and grounds very clean. And not being used as a homeless shelter--lots of work trucks (they are kitchen equipped so motel are going to have long term residents) but no loitering or sketchy people around.
