Clearly the property had fallen on hard times, but the current management is working hard to turn things around. They've made some progress, but still have more work to do. Our first room had an inoperative A/C and TV, but the front desk moved us to another room where everything was fine. Even in the room with the bad A/C, it was clean and fresh looking. There's a little bit of construction dust and debris in the hallways, evidence of the "in work" status of the facility, and as we were checking out, the work crews were starting their day.
Still, with all that, it's a pretty decent hotel, maybe a little rough around the edges, but they're working hard to improve. It's definitely a good value for the money. Could see this as a decent budget vacation hotel once all the renovations are complete.
