"The room was absolutely incredible and the amenities were fantastic. Although we visited in summer and the heat was extreme, the rooftop onsen was still a highlight. Sitting up there while looking up at the Hakone mountains was an unforgettable experience. Hotel is smal and intimate and we very highly recommend dining at the restaurant for an incredible sushi experience. "

"Its a little bit of a hike going to the inn so be aware not to bring big luggages. I did read the previous review and had only my overnight bag and that helps a lot. The inn itself is pretty clean, the staff were accomodating and I was able to book the private onsen. Its a nice place to relax after a long day of walking around hakone"

"Beautiful hotel, but it was a bit of a walk from the bus station if you’re going into Hakone. Be sure to call the hotel to have a shuttle pick you up from the nearest shuttle stop, which is down the hill from the property. Stuff that was super nice although they didn’t know too much about the tourist bus lines-recommend getting a hug Kone 1 to 3 day pass if you’re staying longer. "The room was cozy, the outdoor Onsen was fantastic. We love the privacy and the Mountain View. The staff was well trained and extremely helpful, especially the food servers. We enjoyed every moment of our two night stay. One issue that can be improved is the lack of a shuttle service for the guests. "Amazing experience with Ten-yu. We spent a few hours in the attached water park and enjoyed the private onset in the balcony. Free ice cream, tea and snacks in lobby was an added bonus. No need to even pack a bag- clothes, night dresses and all toiletries were complimentary. "
