"Beautiful setting, good breakfast, friendly staff"

"We had a wonderful stay at Los Lagos! The staff were friendly, and then complimentary breakfast was great. The hot springs are very well maintained, as is the rest of the property. Make sure to check out the trails and the viewpoint! Our only comment is that the walls are quite thin so you can easily hear what is going on in the units next to you. Depending on who your neighbours are, this could be a bit annoying. Not much they can do about this though and we would still highly recommend!"

"This place is wonderful. The night walk was one of our favorite things we did while in Costa Rica, and there is a discount if you stay there which is a bonus. We got to see so many different frogs, and 3 kinds of snakes. JP was our guide and he was great. He was super fun and took the time to teach us as we walked. We also loved the butterfly garden. We can't say enough about how magical the whole experience was."

"The view and the owner/hostess made our stay! The personal attention at breakfast was delightful. This feels more like renting a villa with a morning chef than like a hotel. There are a couple good restaurants at the bottom of the hill for dinner. The drive to La Fortuna is 30 minutes. Be aware there is no air conditioning. There are windows with screens on 3 sides of the villa so the breeze is nice. In the morning you’ll hear a beautiful symphony of birds. I would stay here again."

"Our junior suite was a great room, with lots of space. Unfortunately it was infested with flying ants on the walls. There was also an animal living in the ceiling, and black fecese continually fell onto our bed. They did not have any of the same room types for us to switch into, so we stuck it out for the night. "Off the grid/Villa verde was a great spot for us to stay for 3 nights. The property is well maintained, with beautiful lawns And lots of wildlife. We loved our stay!"

"La mansion is in a beautiful location, and has nice views of the lake. The swimming pool and hot tub (more of a warm-tub) were great. I also loved our bright yellow room with crazy tiles thoughout the bathroom. The restaurant was ok. I would recommend eating at one of the local sodas instead. Overall, a great spot if you have a car to explore the area(Including La Fortuna)"

"Arrived in the afternoon and was upgraded from a room to a villa at no additional charge. Great location to relax and spend your nights in town, hammock was comfortable and internet was very fast. Could still do work on my laptop while in the rain forest, quite amazing. If I am to return to La Fortuna I will stay here again."
