"Clean, comfortable, warm room, a bit of updating would make it fautless. Restaurant modern and tastefully decorated, food was delicious and generous sized portions, the apple and plum crumble was a delight. Special mention to Claire our waitress who took excellent care of us."

"Staff all very pleasant and helpful. Good parking with EV charging. Bedroom was a really good size with lovely old furniture with plenty of drawer and hanging space - but perhaps it looked as though it could do with more furniture to fill some of the spaces. The only downside was having to go outside to get to the restaurant - probably wouldn't have even thought about it in hot weather but it wasn't ideal in the wind and rain. We stayed while the Christmas Fayre was on which was a bonus."

"Fantastic stay, lovely food and wonderful staff. Perfect location for Beamish, rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. The only down side really was that the room was hot and was unable to reduce the temperature."

"A pleasant cottage, but there is no access to back garden as 2 very large dogs were there. They also scratch / jump at the back door (in lounge) in the middle of the night! Front garden not as pretty as picture with some dog mess and dogs watching through gate. Lastly boiler is in bedroom so you can hear when it comes on. "
