"We’ve stayed at this hotel many times. It’s a great location with good facilities. Staff are always very welcoming a check-in. Rooms are well equipped with a fridge in the room. Breakfast service was outstanding with very friendly and checking everything was ok. Great selections and plenty still available 30 mins before finishing. Highly recommend this hotel"

"The hotel is just across the Tyne from the Quayside and very close to both the Sage and the Baltic. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I will definitely stay here again when up in Newcastle. Will definitely stay here again when up in the Nirth East"

"Matfen Hall really is outstanding, my stay was faultless. All staff were so warm, welcoming and helpful- I was greeted upon arrival with a welcome drink and my bags were taken up to my room whilst I checked in and relaxed in the Great Hall. Every nook and cranny of this hotel is gorgeous, beautifully crafted and fabulously furnished, including the room I was allocated.
