Hotel Dekat Normal Theater

"Breakfast was fresh. Normal variety for free breakfast. Staff very friendly. Parking is across street. I was pleasantly surprised it was not busy when we were there. Did feel weird to go thru Amtrak depot to parking, but worked. Nice they have restuarant to order from for dinner when we came in. "

"The bathroom toilet leaked, the room smelled of the pool chlorine ( we were on the 5th floor, facing the pool) and no staff greeted to us. Would not stay there again. "

"It was good enough. Clearly working on remodeling. Breakfast was above average. No regular housekeeping, you have to go to the front desk and request any needs. Parking is horrible especially in pouring down rain. Staff very friendly. Small little bar with limited selections but again good enough. "

"Accommodation looks pretty and well maintained I have faced couple of issues - Room lock not working properly, Need to spend lot of time to open the door with access card. - Bed was Noisy and not comfortable even sofa not comfortable - AC not good to maintain the temperature Apart from above Staff very good and remaining good "

"Our first night we were without power all night until 6am due to a storm that went over us. The second night was fine, until we were woken up by a fire alarm. There was old food in our room fridge. The bathtub was disgusting. We asked for extra towels at 3pm and we were told there is none, as house keeping just got there. We also had to ask for towels in the pool area as they were not stocked up. There was expired milk In the fridge for breakfast. I just overall am not impressed."

"The room was ok. It was clean. I'm not sure the bedding was changed on one of the beds. Nothing that would keep me away from staying again. The breakfast was not much. The coffee was ok. The hallways smelled musty. I had to pay extra when I got there, I guess an extra tax came out of nowhere, even though I prepaid. The area was nice. You can hear the road traffic some in the room. The staff were helpful and nice."

"I was in town during a storm that took out powered to the hotel. There was no way to contact the front desk and there was no info posted on the website. It was like the staff forgot they had guests"

"The room appeared clean and was comfortable. What we didn't enjoy was the construction on the whole side of the building that started at 7am. By 8am the noise level was horrible and the rest of my party was woken up to singing "Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work I go". While I appreciate the enthusiasm the worker had, it does not fare well for a restful stay. They should note on the website that the building was undergoing a huge overhaul and maybe offer to put people on the opposite side of the...

"Everything thing was great here. The room and common areas were clean. The staff was very friendly. Our only complaint would be the breakfast options. There wasn’t much of a selection when we stayed. One of the staff members mentioned that they were out of a lot of things and waiting on a delivery. It was a little frustrating traveling with 2 kids but we managed to find another place to eat. Overall, great stay."

"Tv's didn't work when we checked in. Took few hours to get them working then it kept going in and out. Worked fine in the morning. Coffee maker didnt work but they did replace it.parking was difficult making unloading luggage difficult. Staff was friendly and tried hard to be accommodating. "
