Over many years my husband and I have spent thousands of pounds with Expedia on hotel and flight bookings, as it offers great value for money and efficient support.
On this occasion I booked a night at the Marriot hotel in Keele as a stop-over on a journey from a ferry in Holyhead and my destination in Cambridge.
Unfortunately the ferry was cancelled at the last minute due to adverse weather, so I called the hotel and Expedia to inform them of this fact.
The hotel told me to call Expedia. When I did I was told that they would contact the hotel and see what they could do about a refund or book another date. Expedia told me that the hotel was refusing to help. I asked the Expedia operator to call the manager of the hotel, which he said he would. He never call me back.
I am very disappointed with this sort of treatment, as we have been loyal customers for such a long time.
I would like Expedia to help arrange a complimentary night at the same hotel for 11th October.
Can you please look into this matter and revert to me.
