We had a mixed experience during my recent visit. On the bright side, the parking staff and front desk staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful. A special shoutout to the parking attendant who recommended Willie’s Mae NOLA, the food and drinks there were absolutely amazing! The suite was extremely roomy, the bathroom was clean, and the floor was quiet. They offer on-site parking for a reasonable fee.
However, our experience with the complimentary kitchen and bar left something to be desired. When we visited the kitchen, the food selection was very limited, so we decided to skip it. We then went to the bar area, hoping to enjoy a drink, but unfortunately arrived about 8 minutes after it had closed. While we understand policies and timing, the way we were informed, by someone sitting nearby simply saying “it’s closed, “felt a bit abrupt and dismissive. A more courteous or informative approach would have gone a long way.
Overall, the staff we interacted with directly were great, and the local recommendation was spot-on. With a few improvements in communication and hospitality during off-hours, this could have been a five-star experience.
