"This pub/restaurant has it all, ambiance, great service varied menu and a great location. It was perfect way to celebrate my wife's birthday on our way home from a holiday in Scotland. Had a drink in the sheltered beer garden and a great meal in the restaurant. Breakfast, which is included is cooked fresh to order. "We really enjoyed our one-night stay at the inn. We managed to snag an amazing deal at half the usual rate. Our 2-bedroom room was very clean - only a couple of snags were experienced. The first sleeping area had no bedside lighting and the second had no accessible mains supply! The breakfast included was excellent. The setting for the inn is fantastic - lovely area to walk around."

"Clean comfortable and very quiet. Not noticeably busy at all. Rather dated interior & no food served at the hotel. No breakfast lunches or evening meals despite notices outside saying hotel has a restaurant. It doesn’t. "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Calf’s Head, Clitheroe. We attended a wedding at a venue not far from here, so it was a great location for us.
