"We really enjoyed staying at Arran Lodge. Every single thing has been meticulously & tastefully done. We felt like we were staying at a four star hotel with the loveliest owners ever! Ashtray is provided for the balcony’s if needed! A beautiful clean room with fridge, fresh milk & bottled water daily, coffee, tea, sugar, biscuits, cakes! There’s a hairdryer & iron too. "We stayed overnight as we drove along the coast in summer. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable with everything we needed. Our hosts were marvellous. They ensured we had everything we needed and gave recommendations for the local area. We enjoyed having a chat with them in the evening and would happily recommend their beautiful place as a great place to stay."

"Really lovely little hotel (12 rooms?). Beautifully and tastefully decorated. Location very convenient for Torquay but far enough away from the noise. Beautiful 19th century property. Hosts very friendly, everyone greeted at breakfast by their names - how do they remember everyone's name??! Lovely breakfast all made to order - good variety. Would definitely stay again if in Torquay. We booked through expedia but worth looking at booking direct."

"Property owner Julia was excellent, very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had a balcony room which gave us extra space during our stay. Balcony is small but adequate for 2 people to sit out and enjoy the sea view and fresh air. Bed was comfortable. Property is very clean and well presented. Lovely outdoor pool and garden area. "

"One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. It’s a lovely traditional hotel building (1920s shall we say?) which has been beautifully renovated and refurbished. Both the big picture and the small details are delightful. Staff service was friendly with a real sense of team and purpose. I haven’t mentioned the small outdoor pool (constant 27c) or hot tub simply because I didn’t use them this time! I can’t remember what I paid for my one-night visit but it was a bargain, and I would be very happy to...

"Beautiful B&B on a hill, but walkable to the bay and wharf and many dining options. The Bay Area is a little tacky with pin ball, casinos bars etc, but we had a very nice dinner at a spot called “Local” and it was walking distance to our lodging."

"I found the hotel perfect for a short stay in Torquay. Only a 10 minute walk to the seafront and free parking just outside the entrance. I had a lovely cooked breakfast every morning with some extra treats. Really friendly place and I'm going back there in the summer. I'm using the hotel as a base to meet my friends who return to Torquay twice a year."
