I wish I had a better check-in experience. When I made my booking, I left a note requesting a high floor with a nice view since it was my birthday yesterday. At the very least, I was hoping for a view that wasn’t blocked.
At check-in, I mentioned my preference again, but the receptionist assigned me a ground-floor room. When I went back to kindly ask about a higher floor, she responded dismissively with, “What? What do you want? We only have two floors,” and sent me away without trying to help. It felt unprofessional and disappointing.
If she had at least checked and explained that no rooms were available, I would have completely understood. But instead, it came across as rude and dismissive. If being asked questions by guests feels bothersome, maybe this isn’t the right role for her.
For me, it’s about customer service. I would accept that kind of treatment if I were staying for free, but not when I paid for the hotel. The room itself was clean and the location convenient, but I wish I had received the friendly service that so many other guests have mentioned in their reviews.
Hotel doesn't serve dinner but doesn't bother me much. You can walk to other places to eat around there.
