"The restaurant was closed when we checked in so no food before bed. My kids really didn’t like that. The hotel did offer breakfast the next morning though. Even a mediocre breakfast with cold eggs tastes great when you’re starving. Staff were pleasant enough when they explained it was all due to workers being on strike. Great location to walk to near the airport. Clean place."

"My first trip to Norway and I hope to return but I will never stay at another Scandic hotel again. The Scandic Torget does not have enough tables in its restaurant. Two days running, I got up from my breakfast table to go and get another coffee, only to find that somebody had taken the table on my return and there wasn't a thing I could do about it. This is a problem particularly for solo travellers. What are we supposed to do? If we leave a bag, book or mobile phone to show the table is in use and it is stolen, the hotel will call us foolish for leaving it unguarded. I have travelled to 6 continents and I had NEVER previously been in the position where I had to argue/fight with other hotel guests over the right to sit at a table where I had already been seated!! This is a disgusting way for guests to be treated. It doesn't matter that one hour at breakfast might be busier than others, a hotel should still have an adequate number of tables. My advice to people heading for Bergen is to book inn at the Radisson or any other hotel rather than Scandic."

"Modern clean and a short 5/10 mins walk from the city centre. Cooked breakfast. Coffee machine in reception. Reasonable selection of TV channels."

"Stayed for 3 nights with family.The hotel location is good and close to supermarket and other amenities. It's a 20 minute walk to train station. No tea or coffeemaking facilities in room.In common area were there were facilitaties for coffee and tea,the tray was empty on a lot of occasions and when we asked staff just kept pointing at paid machine which was not very helpful. Self check in works well and also good facilities to store luggage. "
