"Everything about this room was as advertised. It was an excellent location with a beautiful view. The room was beautiful, service was awesome and front desk staff so helpful. We loved it and would absolutely stay again. There is a hustle and bustle below, but with the windows closed, it was quiet. We loved having the restaurants a few steps away. The location is a reasonable distance from the busy city of Porto over the river, while still being very accessible on the Gaia side, near the port wine cellars. We booked a studio room overlooking the Douro River with a stunning balcony view of the Luís I Bridge that we had to see to believe. "Bruno was very helpful! He arranged for a shuttle to pick us up at the Douro Marina, and he also made reservations for us at your restaurant, Casario. (Bruno was very quick to respond to any communications with us.) The Casario restaurant was absolutely amazing! Very good! Would definitely recommend! "A friend and I stayed at Caleway the night before boarding our AmaWaterways Douro River cruise. We were delighted with the hotel and the staff. We checked in mid afternoon and went off to explore Gaia and Porto. Easy walk to/over the St Luis bridge. Upon our return to the hotel our room had no power and it was the only room without power. "Wonderful hotel, it’s new and nice and one of the greater pools with view. The only thing is the logistics design of the hotel needs some learning of navigating all the elevators to go to each area, but it is also its charm i guess."

We were walked up and shown our room and the air conditioning was already on which was perfect as it was a very hot day outside. They have parking which is a bit hidden however the bell boy walked us through it and even met us there to bring out suitcases inside. HIGHLY recommended this hotel"
