"Top floor room which was adequate for our one night stay to see a band locally. The adjoining Pub was excellent. Our only gripe was there was no hot water at 9 am despite running taps for several minutes. "

"Good location for getting out and about. I think parking in the area could be an issue but transport links are very good. Bit of a hike to the upper rooms but we knew this before we requested an upper floor. Room very big and nicely decorated although some work needs doing to the ceiling. Tea/coffee well provided. Exceptionally clean. Internet very week at times and ITV an issue even after you've signed in as signal too weak. Didn't need to interact with any staff. Getting keys etc very slick...

"Had a very nice stay here. It is the first time we stayed. We had a larger room. It was very clean & newly decorated, such a bonus. For the price it was excellent, would recommend it. Staff were friendly. It was a good location for the town. Meals available, we did not use the these facilities, so carn't comment. We would stay here again. "

"Beautiful but compact room.We stayed in the small double as it was the only one left available when we booked, but perfect for a nights stay. The room had everything you would need and more including dressing gowns and a fan for warmer nights The breakfast was one of the best that we've had in a long time. The scrambled egg and smoked salmon was exceptional. We will definitely be back but would look at a Seaview room and a few more nights."

"I think the hotel is either new or newly run as they seem to be finding their feet. Check-in was 3pm to 4pm and when I called to say I might be around 6:30, I was told "it's only hour and a half from Manchester" and "there might not be anyone here after 5pm". It felt a bit abrupt in all honesty but when I arrived around 5:30 (Friday school holiday traffic), they were pleasant enough. Breakfast starts at 10:30 to 11:30 which is very late and checkout is 10am. Weird timings, hence my theory they...

How wrong could we be, The room we were allocated was dirty so much so my partner went around the room with wet wipes to remove dust and filth from surfaces and mirrors.In the bathroom the lino flooring hadn't been mopped and the skirting boards haven't been cleaned for the past 6months I would say.The shower door leaks and the sealant around the bath is loose and as got black mould on it...The...

"Sea view all new furnishings down to carpets, brand new shower ect all been refurbished smells lovely and looks modern, we did have a breakfast but I found meal cold but still ate it,receptionist called liz really nice and helped us throughout. I would certainly return."

Check in involved long queues, and when we finally got to our rooms, the rooms were doubles but should have been twins. Housekeeping couldn’t be reached and left a message as instructed, and when we returned later that evening, nothing had been changed. One room also had a strong drain smell.
