"We hadn't stayed here before and it had been a long time since we'd been in Scarborough so didn't really have any expectations. We were 'upgraded' to a sea view room on the 4th floor but this is a 19th Century building so don't expect palatial. Everything was clean but tired but this is reflected in the price. "The one thing what let them down was the 10 percent vouchers they give out in check in for the Resturant & Longe food. The duty manager when checking out and I was paying said you cannot have the 10 percent off food because it’s up to us to hand in to staff when ordering! Like I quoted the staff never got you to sign for food or give you the chance to accept these vouchers. No good blaming the customers and saying it’s too late to take off when I’m paying my bill! They need to train the staff...

"It was a convenient location. It was good to be able to leave the car outside the guest house, and for it to included in the price. My husband and I enjoyed the views from the bedroom window overlooking the bay. However the bedroom was smaller than we expected. The staff and customers were friendly.
