"All the staff were amazing. Friendly, happy, attentive and helpful. The included breakfast had excellent variety and freshness. We stayed 4 days and ate most of our meals in the Lodge's restaurant. All meals were delicious and their menu has more than enough variety. The gardened grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Our room looked out on the gardens and we could hear the sound of the running stream from our private patio. The room was clean and the daily housekeeping and turndown service was impeccable. The grounds had wonderful paths through the cloud forest which were worth walking daily to see and listen to the birds and white-faced capuchins."

"We stayed here for 4 nights in April 2026. This hotel was everything we could have asked for. It is located in close proximity to several adventure parks, El Tigre waterfall, Ficus La Raiz, a shopping center, and numerous restaurants (although, to be honest, the hotel's room service was MUCH more delicious and satisfying than the restaurants we visited.) Overall the staff was very attentive but the housekeeping service deserves a special shoutout. They kept our room tidy and smelling great, something we really appreciated after zip-lining and hiking for hours over suspension bridges and other trails. However, what we loved the most was the wildlife we were able to see so easily. On our first day we were greeted by a wild Agouti seemingly posing next to colorful flowers. Every morning during breakfast we were able to see a variety of beautiful birds both big and small. It was quite relaxing to take in the sun, enjoy the sights and sounds of local fauna, all the while sipping on a cup of strong Costa Rican coffee. Suffice to say this was an incredible experience that we will never forget."

It is quiet and stylish and near everything in Monteverde, including a hiking trail right next to reception. Room 104 is perfect for a family and just a stunning space. Highly recommend!"

"Stayed for 3 days in March and found the hotel to be excellent. The room was spacious and well-equipped with good quality bedding, towels, and bathroom amenities. The front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was included (buffet) and it was well prepared with lots of choices. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would stay again."

"We left after only one night because the bugs in the room were so bad we got eaten alive. Holes in the screens allowed large beetles into the room and the biting insects were so bad I couldn’t read on my tablet because it attracted the biting insects and my hands the next day were swollen with insect bites. No mosquito nets or fans were in the room to help so we suffered all night and were horribly bit up by the morning. In addition the room door did not stay adequately closed and we had to lodge a sunscreen tube into the crack to stop it from banging all night long. The towels and blankets were frayed and dingy, making me think some of our bites were bed bugs. we did not use the shower because it was so filthy. When we approached the owner about the bugs he was beyond rude, attempted to gaslight us into making it our problem and we received no refund for the additional days we couldn’t stay there. The bad food, and hard beds are hardly worth mentioning compared to the rest of the unpleasantness that was our experience here. I have traveled the world and this was by far my worst hotel experience. "
