Cari Chalet di Mountain City

"Dated but fine."

"You could not ask for better accommodations a more comfortable room or a more pleasant stay you owe it to yourself to make your next stay in the Clayton area at this motel you will do yourself a disservice if you stay anywhere else"

"Been going here my whole life and it’s always perfect. Nestled up in the mountains and a valley. They’re doing renovations currently and can’t wait to see what the finishing product will be!"

"Great"

"The view was great."

"Very quaint, nice and friendly hosts and we loved sleeping by the waterfall , oh and the breakfast was awesome!!!"

"This was a magnificent place to stay. The location was beautiful. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the place was kept super clean. The area was so peaceful. I just wished they had breakfast included in the mornings. Other than that the place was superb."

"Clean room and great location to restaurants. We needed a room for one night and did not want to pay a huge price. Carolina Motel fit the bill."

"The main inn is charming. The bunkhouse is a different story, and the gap between the two is wide enough that I felt misled by the photos used to sell the property. The room is tiny. Just know a king bed takes up almost all of the floor space, and the only other furniture are small nightstands, a luggage rack, a folding chair, and a closet with a curtain instead of a door. There is no room to unpack or move around comfortably. The dark green paint and trim look moody in photos, but in person...

"Clean room, good breakfast but items were not ready and people had to wait, air and heat, good location with food in walking distance and stores."

"not worth $300+"

"This hotel was totally unexpected. The personal touches that they add are enchanting! Each room is unique and the thought behind them is incredible. They offer a coffee bar during the day and a wine bar in the evening. We were even able to have a free movie outside with popcorn! This is an amazing place! The lobby is like a public living room and there are seating areas with firepits in multiple locations. It is totally walkable to downtown Highlands . . which is so charming! Stay here!"

"Paul, the owner, is absolutely amazing. So many beautiful antiques. Breakfast was delightful. We are coming back again next year!"
