"This is a very small boutique hotel that has been recently updated. It only has 4 rooms and just stairs /no elevator FYI. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. One thing to note is anywhere in the tourist district is quite noisy at night. This is no fault of the hotel, just a heads up to others that the streets are all very narrow and clay tile so sounds carries very easily. "Step back in time in this little village near the coast. Each little apartment has a living space, bathroom and a well equipped kitchen which includes microwave oven, stove and Smeg espresso machine on the main floor with winding steps up to a loft with a comfortable bed. "Had a wonderful time. Felt very welcomed as soon as we arrived with the friendly receptionist giving us a tour of the hotel and giving us info on the area. Hotel is right inside the old city which made exploring really easy as you doing want to be driving on the narrow streets. "The breakfast was fantastic as was the staff. The spa was well equipped and very relaxing. Two of the three days we used it we had the whole spa to ourselves. The gym equipment was all the latest and in great condition. It was a short distance to the beach for an early morning run and was deserted on the days I ran. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel "

"Unique! The hotel building is a one-of-a-kind architectural masterpiece located on top of a cliff. It has a small very private beach surrounded by cliffs. The owner collects antique museum-quality furniture, which is displayed in all public areas, so it feels like staying at a museum. Beautiful views. Very quiet, no people around at all. "This is a charming older hotel and retains a sense of class. The staff is really amazing and they make you feel very special. Don’t expect pillow top beds or rain fall shower heads - it’s definitely an older property but it has good sized, clean rooms with large closets. "Fuldstændig fantastisk beliggenhed og smukt anlæg hele vejen igennem. Vi havde den mest fantastiske udsigt til havet, og værelset var så lækkert indrettet. Vi var meget begejstrede for den fantastiske service fra al personalet og at der var kaffe faciliteter på værelset - virkelig lækkert! Poolområdet var også skønt, og stranden var fantastisk! Alt var nemt til med et barn på 4 år. Det er bestemt ikke sidste gang vi kommer til Martinhal i Sagres!"
