Amazing resort, food selection, quality and variety was outstanding. Location was great for accessing the beach and close to town for either driving or using a taxi/uber. Lots of areas around pools to sit and relax.

Nice on site parking, very nice outdoor pools and lounges, beach access was about a 5 to 10 minute walk. Some live entertainment. A couple of near by beach restaurants. Breakfast was terrific, extensive and included fried eggs and omelets.

Very helpful and personable staff, from housekeeping, ground and pool staff, entertainment and reception. Very clean on all aspects. Plenty of space, no crowding. No rush in the early morning to grab a pool chair. Very organized and everyone is equal.

Food was delicious and property was beautiful. Far walk to the beach tons of construction. No beach chairs or umbrella from the hotel. Had to pay for them at the beach. Breakfast buffets was delicious. Hard to find food in between meals. Staff were friendly. Could use a jacuzzi and bridge to the beach and provide beach chairs and umbrellas

It's a beautiful property but for the cost a lot could be better. The gym was bare, bare minimum. The spa was poorly staffed and the booking app for it didn't every show availability. The wait staff at the restaurant was inattentive and largely ambivalent, although the food was good. Beautiful but not what I would expect for the money.

Lovely hotel with 2 great pool areas, gym and small Spa. The in room bathtub was appreciated. Breakfast has plenty to choose From and all staff was very friendly. A plus for the purified water stations around the hotel. An Uber is only 6€ to the city center and is a must to visit. Jardim restaurant close by the hotel is a good, informal restaurant for fresh fish/meat. 2 suggestions for improvement at the hotel. 1)The Beach entrance is very Dark at night, some light/lamp here would be good to avoid guests tripping in the dark. 2)There is no music/surround speakers in the terrace of the lobby bar which would be pleasant before and after evening shows/entertainment. There were several evenings when we were 50-60 people at the terrace just sitting in silence but inside the lobby bar there is background music,so just adding some Terrace speakers would be awesome! Overall we had a great stay and would absolutely come back! Obrigada!

The property is beautifully located, modern and luxury. The food (we had 2 rooms kids + parents with half board is really expensive more than 85 euros extras only to add dinner for 2) considering beverage is not included, even the tap water has a charge which I never seen something like that! The local restaurants are cheaper with really good options. The problem on this property is the entertainment: the gym is minuscule, no game rooms, no playrooms, no sports courts, none.- The indoor pool which is really nice closes at 7pm (why they do this???) we are paying thousands and the limit the use so early ! outdoors pools are nice but they are not heated, for us, it was extremely cold! ANOTHER TIP (we visited from USA) the beach is nice (you need to cross a street) but the water is FREZZING. even in Patagonia was warmer.. TO KEEP IN MIND.

We decided at the desk to upgrade our stay to include "All Inclusive" food and beverages. It turned out to be a good decision as there were none of the usual restaurants or bars within easy walking distance of the hotel. There was easy access to a long white sandy beach with turquoise waters that many locals take advantage of. A boardwalk there stretched for miles providing a nice place to walk or run. The pools were top notch, featured some scheduled activities, live music, DJ, and bar service. The food was served buffet style and offered a wide variety of items for breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner. The bars were stocked well, but top shelf alcohol wasn't included in the AI package. Guests had a choice to dine inside or outside a a nice terrace with views of the sea. We used Bolt to book car service to Lagos and back. The rides were inexpensive and usually arrived to pick up in under 10 minutes. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped with a nice walk in shower Mini bar was included in the AI package. The hotel also provided entertainment in the evening to guests gathered in a large common area. The bar also provided comfortable seating and waiter service. We really enjoyed the perfect weather and the resort style stay here in Lagos. I should mention that there is construction underway next door with heavy machinery and cranes interrupting the view north. We were assigned a room that overlooked the construction site, but the hotel quickly accommodated us

Overall, the Iberostar Lagos is a decent hotel in a beautiful location, but I would rate the experience closer to 4 stars than a true 5-star resort. The scenery and proximity to the beach are fantastic, and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were wonderful, especially João, who provided exceptional service and deserves recognition. For the price, however, I expected better service. Pool service was very slow, and we often waited a long time before anyone approached us. Our original room faced the parking lot and construction area, and the balcony door would not close properly. We paid an additional €50 per night to upgrade to a beachfront room. Room 107 was beautiful and clean, but unfortunately had an extremely strong sewage/septic smell that lasted throughout our three-night stay. Most disappointing was that the front desk appeared to already know about the smell, yet we were still given the room and nothing meaningful was done after we raised the issue. In my opinion, Room 107 should not be occupied until the problem is fixed. Beautiful property and location with some excellent staff, but paying 5-star prices plus €50 per night for an upgrade and spending three nights smelling sewage unfortunately did not feel like a 5-star experience.
