Shut Down

Do not book this hotel. I booked it for a night stay before our cruise last week in March 2020. When we showed up this hotel was closed/shutdown. No one had informed us and it was and is still bookable on hotels.com. Angry is an understatement. There were multiple people standing outside of this hotel trying to get answers. And no no had any!

Thought I was booking a La Quinta. Apparently they were in the middle of a change to Travel Lodge. Crappy room with a LOUD a/c. unit. No breakfast as advertised! Avoid this place.

The room smelled. Evidently it was a smoking room that you thought you could spray with something and it wouldn’t smell. Well it didn’t work, it stunk!

Got there checked in ...went to room tv didnt work called front desk she told me to come get another remote went got it . it didnt work so she moved us from a room with king size bed to one with 2 full size beds ... Got up next morning toilet didnt work and took forever to get hot water. Bad experience and rude clerk at check in .. I wont stay here again nor do I recommend this hotel

Travelodge Is No Place To Stay

Our stay was horrible!! No microwave, no fridge. Some lights didn't work. Towels were rough and dingy. Bed was lumpy and hard. Outer appearance was unpleasant. Old paint and scuffed walls throughout. Online pics were very misleading. I will Never go back to this hotel!! Needs a makeover inside and out. Upgrade this place asap!!! You make Mobile look really BAD!!!

When we booked this hotel - breakfast was included. When we arrived, the breakfast program had been cancelled. Sorry about your luck. Carpet in room was very dirty. Had to ask 2 times to get a blanket for the bed - there was only a sheet and duvet cover. Had to also ask for towels. Found the evening staff far more accomodating than day time staff. Had to ask for towels as well. On the plus side - there was lots of hot water for showers!

Staff was nice. We did have to ask for towels each day. They only stocked the room with two when we had a family of 4. There was a roach in the bath tub the first night. It would have been nice to have had a small fridge and microwave in the room.

Won’t make that mistake again.

The first room they put us in had a really bad smell so they changed us to another room. We dropped our bags and went to dinner. When we returned I was about to plug in my phone and noticed a lot of hair on the head board and wall outlet, I moved the table to discover even more hair as if someone had gotten a hair cut in the room. When I pulled back the covers there were several wet spots on the sheets and even some blood as if the cleaning crew just pulled the comforter back up and straightened the bedding a bit. I brought it to the attention of the staff and checked out and stayed at another hotel. I took photos of everything so the staff could not deny it. They apologized and told me they would refund my payment but I have not heard anything else from them.

This place is a large crack house. They’re people in and out at all hours of the night. They hang out in their cars, in the parking lot, and on the balcony going to your room. They are obviously all doing drugs. The bed was dirty and had boood stain and yellow (possibly semen) stain on them. I went to Walmart and bought my own comforter set. This place is very sketchy and disappointing. I was nervous about my car and scared to leave my room after dark.

Bathroom didn’t have towels so my husband walked to the lobby asking for some. They said they would be right up. Never showed this we used pillow cases to dry ourselves with.
