"Great place to stay in San Francisco! We were a 5 minute walk to lots of shopping and restaurants were everywhere. There was a stop for the cable car right outside the hotel as well. Room was clean. The rooftop bar was also fun and convenient for a cocktail at the end of the night. Would stay here again"

"I had a room with bay views and it was not disclosed ahead of time by the hotel or Expedia that there are party boats on the weekend at the pier across, and they play very loud music at night. I called the hotel front desk staff and they said the loud music goes on until 11:00 pm on Saturday nights and there is nothing they can do about it. It was hard to relax and fall asleep. I would not stay there again. I am disappointed. "

"This is an older hotel on Powell, just up the street from Union Square. It's an ideal location for people that want to stay in the city. It's right on the cable car line. I had a room in the front so I could hear the cable car all night long until it stopped. They had a lovely reception with cookies and popcorn and I got a coupon for 2-for-1 drinks at the bar. The hotel overall is small, because it's from 1914! I enjoyed it and would stay there again. "

"Chose to stay here after my original hotel was cancelled, glad I did as it's in a great location for walking to the pier's, boat tours, Alcatraz etc. The Krups coffee machine in the room was a nice touch and the hotel and rooms were very clean. My only gripes where the water machine on our floor did not work and some of the furniture in the outdoor spaces has seen better days considering the hotel charge $30 a day for these amenities."
