"This hotel was such a pleasant surprise. First, it is close to everything, and we were able to walk to many of the sights on our list. Second, the food in the area is plentiful and easily accessible. A few additional items: it doesn't have an elevator, so do be aware of that. We didn't mind even being on the top floor. "I was pleasantly surprised with my room, the beautiful bathroom. It was a lovely, very comfortable stay. A convenient walk to Jefferson outpatient center, was easy and safe. Then I returned for continental breakfast which was more than adequate. I loved the vegan cranberry cookie. The staff were super friendly and pleasant. This was a gem to be able to stay here, thank you, I hope to stay here again in the future. "

"They have thermostats in the room, but they do not work. Heat is always blowing in the room very noisy. You can hear Everybody coming in and out of the rooms next door to you or across the hall you can hear all the neighborhood noises, cars driving by garbage trucks in the good morning or all night long. I was sweating every night But the staff was amazing very clean breakfast was good. They have a pretty good selection the rooms in the building were very clean."

"Charming, retro, artsy hotel that has complimentary breakfast, offers wine and small bites early evening that are amazing. Not to mention the complimentary chicken soup around mid day. The efforts to provide exceptional customer service is to be admired. The staff are pleasant, accommodating and even make your bed in the morning! Truly a hidden gem tucked behind the big hotels and much better at making you feel welcomed and “ at home”. Kudos Alexander Inn- we will be back. "

"This was the perfect place for my group and our needs. Enough beds with options; a dark, quiet room in the basement, a shared room with a two full beds, the top floor king size suite, even a pull out sofa! All useful accommodations for a party of 5 or more. To top it off, the roof top hot tub with a city skyline view was incredible! It was a great location too, in walking distance to our venue in South Philly. Everything worked out perfectly, and I'm grateful that this option was available....

"We stayed here before in a 2 bedroom and our experience was fantastic. There are many great little spots to eat near by. This time, we did not like it so much. There was a fight between 2 men not once but twice near our room- very scary to the point that we felt trapped in our room since it was between our room and the exit, and we needed to leave to get our Uber. There were dogs constantly barking. We also could not get the temp of our room to change it was set at 77 and would not adjust. The...
