"Horrible Hotel food! We got sick from the Mix grill food. Breakfast looks good but old cucumbers, no taste beans, stale bread and just cheap local pastries. Nothing Movenpick quality about this hotel! Bar staff incompetent and does not understand the difference of lemon juice vs lemon slices and ruined our drinks, elevators broken, horrible location and the beach staff are super lazy and always on their phone and not tentative at all forgetting to deliver your orders then all of a sudden they disappear for 30 minutes or longer. Hotel itself is boring as well but they play annoying techno music all day outside if you like that. Stupid expensive for low quality food and drinks and prices are half price outside the hotel. We really hated our trip."

"All good here - no problems of any kind. Lots of frendly staff.Well kept gardens. 8 bars - can get a drink at anytime. Fine food selection - you will not go hungry here. Large rooms with 2 double beds and bath robes. Safe beach - you can view colorful fish just by walking out to the coral - large pools with no fight for sunbeds. Isolated - apart from other hotels just desert outside. We never left the resort and will be happy to return."

"Excellent 5 stars hotel from every aspect, Top property well maintained, but above all the best staff in all areas of the hotel from the front desk to restaurants to coffee shop to the pool! It is like my time share property in Cairo, excellent massage by the pool by professional and polite Kamar , excellent hookah and drinks at the bar by the pool and panoramic view. IN SUMMARY MY FAVORITE HOTEL IN CAIRO FOR LAST 10 YEARS !"

"One thing I would strongly suggest to the hotel management is addressing the issue with the horse drawn buggies and the taxi drivers waiting outside the property. Unfortunately, having a gate is not enough when, the moment you step outside, they immediately approach you, pressure you, and aggressively try to force you to use their services instead of apps like inDrive. The hotel should work with the tourist police to remove these individuals from the street leading to the hotel entrance. Tourists should be able to walk freely or order an inDrive without being harassed. At one point, I even witnessed two taxi drivers verbally confronting an inDrive driver for picking up a couple, as if they owned the entire area. We stayed at the Steigenberger Resort Achti and walked several times to dine at the Steigenberger Nile Palace, which is only about 0.8 miles away. However, because of the intense heat, we often had to use inDrive, which cost around 50 Egyptian pounds each way. At one point, the taxi drivers pressured us so much that we almost got into one of their taxis. When I asked for the price, the driver quoted 500 Egyptian pounds for the same ride. This is exactly why traditional taxi drivers are losing business and why services like inDrive are becoming more popular. Unless they start being honest and charging fair prices, they will continue to lose customers."

"The hotel is an oasis in the hectic, congested downtown Cairo. It is extremely difficult to walk anywhere. The room on the 25th floor was very modern, clean, and a spectacular view. This is a busy hotel. The lobby is buzzing. When we arrived the staff was amazing. No waiting. Salma was particularly helpful. Very kind and professional. A true gem. Ombeya also ensured our check out was smooth and helped us store our luggage. Would definitely recommend. Not sure why ratings were lower. Ignore them."
