"This property was comfortable, clean, and well equipped. Great location, too. However, in an effort to save energy, the bathroom lights were on a motion detector. There is nothing worse than finding yourself in a soapy, slippery shower in the pitch black because the lights would not stay on. Would never stay here again because of that!"

"Beautiful hotel with small but perfectly formed rooms. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the castle which was tiny but lovely. The bar area is fantastic and the Whisky Bar was our downfall (thanks to Dario who is an expert!) Will definitely return"

"Overall the property was good but some things to note. 1. Hot water wasn’t working when we arrived. They had someone over within 2 hours to check it, and did end up fixing it within about 4 hours, it was frustrating after a long travel day. 2. The mattress was not very good and the bedding looked run down. 3. There is a little patio type thing that could be accessed by the bedroom, however the furniture out there looked dirty and it didn’t appear it was cleaned at all ever. Should just remove...

"The location was ideal for getting around Edinburgh town centre. There was plenty of space and amenities. It was very clean and the staff we spoke with were quite pleasant. I liked having electronic entry so no keys to keep track of. It was very noisy with auto-closing doors and outside noise. We happened to be there during a heatwave and the bedroom window would not stay open. The price was a bit high but the location probably dictates high rents."

"When we arrived they informed us there was a problem with the a/c in the room, the first night the room was freezing. When we mentioned it the receptionist said she would remedy it for that night . Unfortunately the room temperature was above 25 degrees . We again mentioned it the next morning and that evening the room was freezing again . It is not what I would have expected from a hotel of this standard"
