"I was shocked to find out that my room was not air conditioned. It was 84 degrees outside and at least 80 in my room when I checked in. When I called the front desk to question it (since the other room I reserved for another couple was air conditioned), an extremely rude staff member was sent to my room to show me how to get air in from the air-conditioned hallway. He literally said, "if you wanted an air-conditioned room, you should have booked with an air-conditioned Hotel". I could not...

"Excellent value for Banff. Walk was 10 blocks into town. Some restaurants a bit closer. Bartender was super nice and drinks reasonable. Buffet breakfast was overpriced and mediocre. Hot tub was way too hot. Couldn’t stay in more than five minutes. Ask at the front desk to verify safe temperature and they turned it down some but still couldn’t stay in more than ten minutes. Other guests mentioned the same and barely put their feet in. Besides the pool and breakfast, the lodge is 5 star."
