Mika and Tammy were super nice!! The kitchen and smaller pantries were well stocked and thoughtfully laid out. We were so comfortable in our rooms, and loved that there are so many different bathrooms to choose from. You get to have more interactions with the other guests versus staying in a hotel. We’ve made so many friends here. This was such a down-to-earth experience, we’d definitely choose to stay here over a resort anytime!
Nice lodge in a great location, clean kitchen and bathrooms, feels like a dorm but doable for short stays

At the beginning when I book place I didn’t see any description where it says : shareable bathroom and shower! Also there isn’t breakfast included I think what they call breakfast is oatmeal or coffe.
I thought according the pictures the bathroom and showers were inside of the room.
I couldn’t get a refund, towels smell kinda funny.
Place in general was really clean .
They have like a kitchen area which we didn’t use but it looked clean

Once I understood this was more of a relaxed dorm situation I was able to appreciate what they offered and its potential to host groups. We had one room with two beds, one larger and the other smaller and all the rooms share the kitchen and several bathrooms and showers. It is dated but has a very low-key old Hawaii hippie-surfer atmosphere vibe. The superior highlight is the great view from the jacuzzi and grill where it's great to hang out and groove on the gorgeous of the mountains in a tropical setting. It was the exact opposite of where we ended up the next night at a very corporate, crowded, expensive and impersonal Westin condo.
One of my favorite places to stay! A little drive from the Airport but close to a local general store in Makawao. The hibiscus room is a private room facing the mountain and is absolutely peaceful. Everything needed to cook is readily available and the restroom/shower facilities are clean and available inside the lodge. Plenty of activities and amenities to enjoy the property; including hot tub, ping-pong, Cornhole and fire pit. The owners and staff are very friendly and make sure you are taken care of. Highly recommend and will be back soon!
We stayed in the family cottage. Our accommodations were top notch! The hosts made sure that we had everything we needed including fresh eggs! We felt like we were O Hana (family)! Highly recommended with five stars!
A cute, family-run place with shared bathrooms and shared kitchen. The location is ideal to go to Haleakala and the Road to Hana, the two most popular places to visit on the Eastern part of Maui.
We stayed in the room with the queen sized bed. Room was nice and clean- restroom and shower as well. Area is close to places to eat, near Baldwin beach (Baby beach).
This was overall an amazing stay for a night. Hot tub and the views were fantastic. The only criticism we have is that the property was advertised as having free breakfast included, however, the only thing available was two packs of cookies, and tea bags.
Could not say better things about this place. The owners went above and beyond to make sure my friends and I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Rooms were fantastic, loved the outdoor shower. Highly reccomend

Tammi and Mika were incredibly friendly and attentive. They made us feel like royalty
The room was do clean, bed was very comfortable. We love the garden and the sunrise view. Fantastic amenities at a reasonable price. We’ll definitely be back.

Had a great stay at Gods Peace Of Maui! The owners were very friendly, and other guests were as well. Many were quiet and kept to themselves. The amenities all worked, and the outdoor shower was a bonus. The room was clean & spacious. Used as a home base to make breakfast/lunch, and was out all day. Great experience and would recommend for anyone on a budget who doesn't mind sharing common spaces. Never wanted to leave Maui!
I want to thank Mika and Tammi for the upgrade to the Hibiscus Room. It was my fault that I didn’t document my other guest and booked the smallest room which I thought was cheaper. In the end, I got a really nice view of Haleakala and the Pineapple fields. It was a nice and quiet properly and they were one text away if we ever needed anything. I would highly recommend this property to a friend. Not too far from the places we wanted to go. Truly enjoyed my stay.

It was a clean and easy stay but just be aware what you are getting for the inexpensive price.
Did not know when booking that the room was detached from the building which was where you had shared bathrooms. This meant a walk to the building for any bathroom activities, even washing hands or face. The detached room/small enclosed bedroom with porch, was under the view of half of the building, so very limited privacy.
The room, which to keep cool, you had to have the windows and sliding glass door open (all screened) as there was only one plug in floor fan (the ceiling fan was broken).
With all of that said, the view and view of the stars at night was amazing.
One thing to note: I hope you don't mind cats and dogs as one of the cats uses the porch as their bedroom and can be annoying meowing to be let in during the middle of the night.
Warning, description implies something that its not. Nowhere in the description does it mention that the room has no private bathroom. You will have to use the shared bathroom down the hall. Shower and toilet bathroom are separate. You will be asked to clean your hair from the shower drain. This would have all been fine and I wouldn’t be writing this review if only the description had stated this fact. I also would not have booked the room. One other misleading thing about the description is the “full service spa”. To me that means you can book a massage or facial. No. There is a hot tub on the grounds, and to use it you have to remove a very heavy cover and then figure out how to turn on. Definitely not “full service”. Breakfast is a packet of instant oatmeal and coffee with no creamer. I guess it depends on your perspective. We met some really nice people who were coming off an 8 day tent camping trip and to them it was heaven. Not us. We like a bathroom in our room so that when we get up in the night (yes, we are old), we don’t have to navigate a darkened hallway and possibly meet strangers on our way. I did that at 2 am and did not go back to sleep. I hate to write bad review because the owners seem so nice but they should be accurate in their description!
Its a good place for 1 or 2 days, not a long term stay. Rooms were very small. Also, It’s not a true bed and breakfast, no breakfast, just some Costco snacks. Overall a clean place and close to Paia and road to Hana. There was a couple of roaches we killed.
Firstly just wanted to say that Tammy (owner) was a great host we seen her almost everyday and me and my husband stayed for 5 nights. Very clean they have someone clean it very thoroughly everyday from the kitchen to all the bathrooms and showers. Such a beautiful view of haleakala and beautiful plants. I will definitely come here again. I would rather much stay here than a hotel.
