"I feel bad that I have had to give a mix rating because I feel everything about our stay was going well until I suffered food poisoning. I woke up at 2am in a lot of pain and spent two hours in the bathroom vomiting. Earlier that day I had the king prawns and at dinner I had the flat iron steak. "The room was lovely and bed supper comfy but then that would be expected as the room was expensive for what it was. Some biscuits with tea and coffee would have been nice. "Beautiful facility with touches of old and new and great location. Rooms were very nice, modern bathrooms and air conditioning. Easy, secure onsite gated parking. Indoor pool and out door spa/hot tub was a great added benefit. Nice bar, did not use the restaurant so I can't share much other than nicely designed and well kept. Close to many things, longer walks but easy drives."

"We came for a family night away to celebrate a birthday and we really found the hotel to be relaxed and friendly from the minute we got there. Our room was clean and within minutes of checking in staff came in with a basket and bowls for our dog. We had a few drinks in the bar area that evening which was busy due to football but a great atmosphere. The breakfast was lovely and the choice was great. We used the gym and spa and found the staff in the golf shop all to be extremely friendly...
