"If you’re looking for a unique quiet medieval castle experience this is the place to stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Grounds were incredible, breakfast and dinner were very nice. Second oldest golf course in the world wasonly 3 miles away. Beautiful walking trail with view and historical stone marker at the capture location of Mary Queen of Scots. Would definitely stay again.

"The hotel was conveniently located approximately 15–20 minutes from the city center by public bus, with the bus stop situated very close to the property. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our stay.
My main concerns were with the room itself. It did not have air conditioning, which made it feel very warm, stuffy, and uncomfortable, especially in the evenings. The lack of ventilation significantly affected the overall comfort of the stay.

"The room was clean but could have been cleaner and didn’t smell very fresh.You couldn’t open the windows so it was very hot and stuffy.The bar was closed on the 1st night which was a bit of a surprise.

"It was mostly clean, bed was clean, facilities were. I could see spills on wall, but otherwise quite clean. Bathroom very clean and shared kitchen kept well. "The property location is a very short walk from Waverly station and very close walk to the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. I loved the room but our view was a brick wall that was very disappointing. However the bed and pillows were the most comfortable of 4 different hotels we stayed at. The room is clean and comfortable and offers various drinks and snacks from the mini bar/fridge at no extra charge. They do have an excellent breakfast for the price and the lounge is located 7 floors up...

"The property itself was beautiful in a great spot overlooking the Firth of Forth . Our room was fine with a sea view. The Spa and pool area was very good.. However our room seemed to be next to a boiler of sorts on a timer every 15 minutes it started up even during the night which wasn’t great for sleeping . The staff who were all young had an attitude as if someone had stolen their sweets ! Young adults need direction from management in how to treat guests so I would cut them some slack...
