"We booked a twin room. This was well proportioned and a generous size. The room had tea and coffee facilities. There was a fridge and safe. The room was cleaned daily and supplies topped up. We booked breakfast. This was a popular choice and on both occasions they were unable to seat us in the restaurant as it was full, so we were taken to a sister hotel around the corner. Other than needing to leave the premises the breakfast experience at the other hotel was excellent both in terms of service and the range of food on offer, Would recommend. The staff in the hotel were very friendly. The lift broke down during our stay. This happens but on our departure day no help was offered with our cases. The hotel arranged a taxi to the airport. This worked well. It was a fixed price and the driver was on time. The location of the hotel in the old town is excellent. We were in walking distance of the main square. There were plenty of shops and places to eat to cater for all tastes. Krakow has history and culture in abundance. We visited churches, museums and the castle in our short stay and all within walking distance. Would recommend this hotel if visiting Krakow as our overall experience was very good."

"The hotel is immaculate and the staff were very helpful. The only negative to the hotel is the large floor-to-ceiling windows which the beds are placed next to. There is very little privacy and you can see into the room from different angles even when the blinds and curtains are closed."

If you have any tours to meet up at set locations, it's a very easy walk. The only negative was it can be a bit loud on the weekends. If you're a light sleeper, you might need earplugs."

"We were allocated the beautiful 101 room .. Clean… airy… stylish.. and the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in .. Great shower and excellent amenities in the bathroom .. The heated pool, the sauna and steam room are absolutely fantastic after a long day exploring.. we so enjoyed this. We had some wonderful sunshine while staying, so the roof bar was a fabulous choice for a glass of wine and enjoying the afternoon sunshine .. it’s a great sun trap.. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and an array of continental choices to go with it.. Wonderful staff .. very helpful, polite and courteous.. Our first trip to Krakow .. what a magnificent city you have.. everyone was just a delight everywhere we went .. We truly enjoyed our city break and to be in the Old Town staying at Hotel Stary was perfect."

"It is a beautiful, old (built in the late 1800s), perfectly restored and maintained hotel. The amenities are modern. Excellent breakfast. The hotel is within 5 min walk to the train station and to the big shopping center- Galeria. You are also within 10 min of pretty walk from the Old Town. However, because of the location, rooms facing the Lubicz street will have some street car noise. It is not bad and the window shades help dampen in it. After the first night is stopped noticing it."
