The area was quiet which was nice. Just a few small errors with the room we had (toilet seat was coming off of hinges, vents on ac unit wouldn’t properly adjust, there’s no curtains on windows on top of blinds) Had to check in at an another hotel in order to get room key which was different. But the man who checked us in was really nice and helpful. Overall the room wasn’t bad for the price and was close to universal studios.

I liked it there, I had everything I needed in my room. The fridge and microwave were super handy, the staff was nice and very accommodating and it was clean. There was room service every day and some of the cleaning staff made my bed as nicely as I have only experienced in higher-priced hotels (thanks again for that!). I felt safe there and found its location very convenient as I could walk to many places, including several shops and grocery stores. I found it a bit noisy towards the parking lot when it got busy, but I've often had that with higher priced hotels as well and it was otherwise perfectly fine and I slept well there. I'll definitely come back next time. :)

Good value for the price.

Took the family to Universal Studios and stayed 3 nights. This is an older facility so take that into account. If you're looking for a fairly clean room, a hot shower and a fairly comfortable bed to sleep on, and don't mind it being an older facility, then this is the place for you. It had 2 queen beds and a fold down couch so everyone was able to have plenty of room to sleep. Room is small but provides the necessities. Everything worked like the air conditioner, tv, mini fridge, microwave etc. The room was cleaned and beds made every day which was nice. It was only a few minutes from Universal Studios so I would say the value was good for the price.

El Patio Inn is a simple and quaint place. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. We truly enjoyed the convenience of the location and the subtle charm from the landscape and ambient lighting at night. The rooms were outdated and plain, but provided us with just the basic needs. Over all cleanliness was good and they are attentive to your needs if you ask. The staff was very kind, honest, and helpful. We misplaced a phone and they immediately notified us when they found it. We appreciate this place and would stay again. We recommend El Patio Inn if you are looking for an eccentric, but minimal styled place to rest your head.

No Hot Water.

Check in was nice and easy. Other than that, it was not the best. We had a family room (two queens and a futon). Im glad we didnt need the futon, there wouldn't have been room to walk around; the room is very small. The worst - Worst part was that there was no hot water. None. My daughter and I showered at different times, and there was no hot water. The temperature did not change from Cold after 3 minites. The front desk is staffed from 9am to 9pm. We were not in our room during those times so we couldn't tell anyone. We checked out early at 9:15am and were going to tell them then, but there was no front desk person to talk to. I talked to a couple who also had no hot water. Maybe there was an issue they were unaware of and this was a fluke, but it was difficult to tell them. The beds were not comfy and the blankets were thin. In one area of the room there are glass blocks as a window that have no curtains or cover. If you need a dark room to sleep, this is not it. But really, all of that could have been overlooked if we had hot water.

A great place to stay for a universal trip

This was a great budget hotel for our trip to universal studios! We would definitely stay again. Rooms were clean and in good condition, front desk staff was friendly, and there is free parking. After 7pm you have to check in at a different hotel but the staff at El Patio Inn make you very aware of that and where the hotel is. Great location for universal studios, there’s a bus stop a two minute walk away and it’s just 3 stops to the universal shuttle. Great hotel!
