"The whole building is unique, the room was clean, well maintained, shower was fine, the bathtub is low which im guessing was the style back then. Staff were friendly and welcoming, came early and Betty let me keep my bag in storage until check which was nice.
The cafe next door served sweet treats and coffee etc, the area if you dont have a car is a little out of the way. The closest grocery store is Pavillion which is a 20 min walk away up Melrose and Wilton.
It's close to Paramount studios...

"Reception was clean and staff was nice. We checked in quickly and got a room on corner with view of Hollywood sign. Room was colorful and clean and big enough. Bathroom was spacious and clean organized. But I don’t think we had an exhaust fan in the bathroom but there was a window that was open and helped with the steam. Bathroom has a sliding door rather than a door with a lock. , so no sound proof bathroom.
A suggestion, it would be nice to have complementary water bottles in the room."

"Genuinely a regret I’ll carry for a while. I booked this for my birthday and it was a mess. It smells. The windows are dirty (from the inside and out) and the staff are pretty much resigned to helping with a tight smile. The food is AWFUL. There is no complimentary water. A can of coke is $7. "There was a nice patio area to drink your coffee in the morning but overall I would not recommend this hotel. It’s in a very grimy and downtrodden part of Hollywood so you can’t venture out. Our bathroom had ants in it, they didn’t give us clean towels and clean out our trash like I requested and it’s so loud at night from the hard floors and people slamming doors due to the lack of sound dampening material you can’t sleep, and the beds are not comfortable. Unfortunately, we were disappointed...
