We had a great experience with the staff at Thistle, check in was easy and they stored our luggage until check in so we were able to go out and enjoy our day without worrying about our luggage. We had a twin room on the fifth floor with a view of Hyde Park. The room was tidy and clean and the view was good with the large window. The downsides that we experienced were that one of our twin beds was squeaky so that made it difficult to sleep. Also, we could hear a lot of the other guests, especially the closing of doors which was quite loud. This may not be ideal for anyone who's a light sleeper or people with babies or young children who are easily woken. Aside from those issues, the hotel is great. The location was idea with walking access to the Queensway and Bayswater Underground station. There is a lot of restaurants close by, including the Shell station below the hotel which has snacks and drinks. I would definitely consider staying here again.
