We had a late check-in due to a delayed flight and lost luggage, and the staff member was less than cordial, and when I tried to explain my Expedia booking to pay at the property she did not take any interest in resolving or offering support regarding trying to charge my card before my arrival. There is a set of stairs to go up to the elevator, so it does not barrier free. The room itself is clean and the space was quiet.

Rooms are smaller than expected with weird layout. Staff are nice and friendly- no complain about that. Very few amenities- no water/coffee/iron in room. We had to go to the terrace area to get anything. One of the annoying thing was the room heater was not turned on automatically, the first night was freezing- we didn’t realize we had to ask the stuff to turn it on. Its a great location but expect quite a bit of street noise. The shower could do some work, during shower water was leaking everywhere.

We just checked out after 6 night stay and will come back to this same hotel after visiting Porto for 5 nights. Very satisfied with our room size and condition. Friendly staffs and love the mattress as we had very good sleeps everyday. First impression upon check in was so-so due to small reception area and elevator starts on First Floor. These were just minor issues. After checking in, we became happy about the hotel condition, location, and great staffs (and great shower water pressure!). We are happy to be back after five nights away in Porto.

Location was great as there many restaurants and shops around. Warning that there are two flights of steps before you get to the elevator for anyone traveling with luggage but the girl at the front desk did help us with carrying the luggage.

Perfect location right in the middle of everything but around the corner so not noisy. No breakfast available but the place next-door has breakfast so it’s fine. It looks like there was a brand new bathroom. This was the cleanest bathroom I’ve ever seen with absolutely not once spec of mildew mould in the grouting! Price was quite good

The location was awesome. It couldn't have been better located. It was a short walk to anything you wanted or needed. Staff was great very helpful. The room was very clean and maybe too clean. The scent of cleaning products was so strong it started to give me a headache. They couldn't do anything about it because there were no other rooms available. They tried to compensate by offering me a bottle of wine which was very nice. The room was VERY basic despite the nice photos in the listing. There is a definite mismatch between the photos and reality. I booked a superior double. My room looked nothing like the images. It was small. I barely had enough room to open my large suitcase on the floor. The photos in the listing show a large shower but the reality was just a single narrow shower that leaked all over the floor with every shower. WARNING: the rate is 4-star but I was told this is a guest house not the same as a 4-star hotel. If you want something that is very basic, located, clean, no amenities but friendly staff this is a good choice.

Only the location was good — disappointing service and experience I stayed at Esqina Urban Lodge in Lisbon and unfortunately, the only positive thing I can say is that the location was great. The service was very poor. The staff were generally unfriendly, and when I lost my vest in the room (which I never even wore outside), I asked multiple staff members for help. I had to repeatedly follow up myself because no one got back to me unless I asked. The only update I ever received was, “We’re waiting for the cleaning staff to respond,” and nothing more. It felt like no one was actually trying to help. This happened on my second day, and since I never had the room cleaned and the space is extremely small, there aren’t many places something could just “go missing.” The room itself was tiny with almost no privacy — I did book the smallest option, but the pictures online were definitely misleading. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless location is your only priority.

The hotel is very convenient. One block from the train and one block from a central promenade that has tons of shops and restaurants. There is an elevator in this renovated building however it’s only from the 2nd floor up. Rooms are big enough for a couple and the bath room showers are very large. Having the sink in the bedroom has its pros and cons. Most guest will be comfortable with it I believe.

The location was great and conveniently located in the heart of the tourist area with plenty of shops and dining options. My biggest disappointment was the room size. It was very small as it could only fit a bed and about 2 feet of space around the bed for luggage storage and moving around.

The staff were polite, the bed was nice, but there was no coffee and then we found out later we were not in one of the premium rooms. That issue spoiled our stay and we will not recommend your hotel to friends.

This House guest is very well located. We truly appreciated the fact that we felt the fuest house was always close to us, even walking to different attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Please note this place is a guest house and not a hotel, meaning that there are minimal amenities in the room (such as no coffee maker, no tissues, no fridge).
