and thoughtfully designed. The food and service were excellent. Refrain from believing the bad reviews; this hotel is worth the stay. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make our daughter's birthday trip exceptional. The hotel gym is excellent. The beach can be a little rough compared to the other beaches on the island, but the pool and swim-up bar are good. I recommend renting a car and exploring the island."

"Sonesta Ocean Point was a beautiful and well maintained property! The pools were clean, quiet, and comfortable lounge beds. We really enjoyed the restaurants, Azul and Portofino! The food was incredible and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The gym was well maintained with a variety of equipment. Our room was spacious, clean, with plenty of seating. Definitely would stay there again!! "
