"Great hotel. Good place to meet people and lots to do (full pool, with hot tubs, sauna, steam rooms, plus gym, Starbucks, bar with sports areas). Rooms were spacious, and pretty modern. Our only down side was how busy the pool was at the weekends with kids. There are some adult only windows, but as it’s also used for swimming lessons, it can get very crowded at peak times. Would definitely stay here again."

"Nice modern hotel and really Convenient for the First Direct Area - just a couple of mins walk. Also good that there is a nice restaurant attached and others within a very short walk. Car park also really close by and easy to find. Unfortunately despite paying extra to have 2 adults and a child in the room, we arrived to find the sofa bed not made up and not bedding for this in the room, not enough towels and no additional cups or drinks for the third person either - resulting in me having to call down twice for towels and bedding and not ever having the tea/coffee etc that we had effectively paid for. "

"Just outside the train station, nice big hotel, friendly staff, great big room, lots of space to put clothes etc. Tea and coffees available, fridge and safe too. Nice comfy bed. The only slightly negative thing... the lift might take a while especially if you are high up with the floors"

"Very nice hotel overall but room maintenance for rooms should be considered. Broken latches, door locks didn’t work, carpet pulled up. Bed was firm with uncomfortable pillows. Absolutely adequate but slightly expensive for the reasons mentioned."

"Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. I’d avoid the Sky Lounge especially on a weekend. Far too loud, and was laughed at by security assuming I could just pop up for a drink as a resident - they were full, but they had seats at the bar. I had to push to get them. Cocktails were terrible and over priced. Tried the bar downstairs, was better as you could hear but again the drinks were poor. Room was lovely, bathrooms need a bit of attention - you can see where they’ve done work (moving things like towel rails) and they’ve not re-plastered or tiled properly. Might have just been my room but for £235 a night I’d expect something better. No vegan option as an alternative for the cookie on arrival either. Not very inclusive."
