"Funny story, spotted hotel was for 18+ but hadn’t clocked it’s largely targeting ‘seniors.’ So my wife and I booked to celebrate our 15year anniversary, I’m 41, she’s 39 so considerably younger than almost everyone else there. That said, still really enjoyed it. Excellent entertainment (80’s band). Nice grounds, very nicely furnished and decorated hotel throughout. We opted for half board, there is an al a cart option but no vacancies so we tried the buffet diner which was average at best....

"The historic building is simply beautiful, very charming, and well-restored. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was well-equipped. The service in the restaurant was very friendly but extremely slow. The food was rather mediocre. Breakfast was actually quite poor.
