Numerous added touches that made the stay especially memorable — Christmas morning “stocking” filled with fruit, nuts and tea canister’” traditional Scottish food menu items along with many other choices, excellent housekeeping service (phone charger cords neatly tied up with a hotel tie), lovely afternoon tea and Christmas dinner. "one of the best hotel room, i have ever stayed. the lobby is nice, the room is huge and even nicer. they refill the water, but towards the end of our stay, they no longer refill the snack. otherwise the room is nice as per picture, bonus it is just 3 mins walk from the train station, so if your journey is late at night, this hotel is just close by to the train station and royal mile."

"Fab hotel. Easy to get to from Princes street tram stop (prepare for an uphill walk and steps, we took the step free route on the way back!). Room was perfect for my 11 year old and me. Views of the castle from the hotel. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were great. Use of pool and sauna in the sister hotel 1 minute down the road was an added bonus. Loved this hotel. "
