"I stayed for two nights. The room was comfortable and yes the furniture was a little dated in it but it didnt matter as I was out most of the time. Bathroom was good. I had a meal in the bar area and I was well looked after by lovely staff. Meal was tasty, hot and came quite quickly. I used the swimming pool and sauna plus an early morning pilates class. Everything was good. I suppose an available timetable of what was on would have been useful and it being made clear what was included for guests. Everything was included. Breakfast was very ordinary but I am sure people would find things to suit."

"We returned to Ye Olde Bell to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary having held our wedding reception there 25 years ago. It did not disappoint! Whilst it has been updated it still feels comfortable and retains the character it always had. From the moment we arrived the staff were brilliant; friendly and helpful, they went above and beyond to cater to my special dietary requirements, providing soya milk for the room, as well as offering to amend dishes for our evening meal. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated and the ensuite was large and well supplied with toiletries etc. The room was also quiet, despite facing a road. Our evening meal was lovely, as was breakfast. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order. We enjoyed our stay and trip down Memory Lane immensely and can recommend Ye Olde Bell."

"The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of sockets next to the bed, it was warm with the curtains closed but there was a draught from the window area not sure if it was the vent under the window. There’s a cupboard next to the room door which contains a water pump that woke us when someone else in the hotel was having a shower and when we wanted a shower later there was no hot water. Furniture needs repairs and wallpaper peeling off. This was supposed to be the Deluxe double en-suite. Parking was good and staff friendly enough, check in and out very easy. No food available at breakfast time but there was a kettle and tea/coffee in the room. "

"Beautifully designed and decorated. Perfect spot on outskirts of sheffield - would definitely stay again. Only reasons for 4 start over 5 are small areas for improvement: Little more attention to detail on cleaning needed - dirty used tray in oven/ food debris in cutlery tray. Would also appreciate communication re access to property being sent a little sooner, was worried it wouldn't be sent."
