"We stayed in a 1 bedroom 2 bath condo for the month of May, 2026. This was a corner unit with a wrap around lanai and exceptional views of the mountains (sunrise) and the ocean (sunset). We also had a view of the pool and grounds including the koi pond. So lovely to sit on the lanai and enjoy coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.

"Everything seemed to be fine with the exception that when I booked months ago , the ocean view room that was requested apparently was not noted , very unfortunate .

"The property and rooms are very nice. Very lush and beautiful landscaping and easy walk to the beach. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The issues that we had is that the air conditioner in the room was either not working properly, or undersized for the room. We had it set at 68 and it was hot in the room. "We LOVED everything about the property. The staff was lovely and helpful. The lobby and grounds are gorgeous and clean. The ocean view from our room was beautiful and the pool was refreshing and well maintained. We loved that the beach was steps away and even though it’s a large resort it was easy to get where you needed to go. The Luau was so fun with delicious food and convenient! We have only positive remarks and would stay again!"

"My suggestion to future guests would be to talk to staff before booking a room on exactly the type of room you will be given. The pictures on the website can be misleading as they show various types of rooms(ie ground level with patio verses 5th story room with no balcony)for the same category of room. "Went for our honeymoon and the Whaler didn’t disappoint. The room was clean and set up pretty well. The communication and follow up was the best I’ve experienced, we wanted to experience a bunch of local spots and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. The location is perfect. Very centralized to snorkeling, pool, or the ocean. A bunch of good food in walking distance and even some others for a short drive. Was able to whale watch from the room and a short walk to black rock we seen dolphins....

"The bed. Plan to have a back ache most of the nights . It was rough. Used the pull out to help the ache.
Besides that, it was nice . No maid service.
Plenty of glasses, utensils, pans, pots for two.
We did call half way though to refresh the room and they did a nice job.
