"Went for our honeymoon and the Whaler didn’t disappoint. The room was clean and set up pretty well. The communication and follow up was the best I’ve experienced, we wanted to experience a bunch of local spots and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. The location is perfect. Very centralized to snorkeling, pool, or the ocean. A bunch of good food in walking distance and even some others for a short drive. Was able to whale watch from the room and a short walk to black rock we seen dolphins....

"The studio room is very small. We had a better view than anticipated. We actually had a partial ocean view. The laundry was two floors above us and the washing machine was broken, so we had to go up 5 more floors for another. The shower head spray was not good - needed cleaning. Because our room was a closed off guestroom, we could hear the neighbors in the main room through the mutual door. The facilities were very nice and the resort was situated in walking distance to shopping and eating....

"Pros: The unit! Cable TV like CNBC & Bloomberg, ice machine, pool noodles/snorkel gear, cantenes for day trips, high end kitchen applances and supplies, good mattress. Cons: Undisclosed fees I was asked to pay upon checkin even when I messaged hotel/mgmt/owner? on Expedia platform weeks before to doublecheck and was told no additional $! It should clearly state "pay at property $xx amount" like my other expedia bookings. Expedia resolved it after escalation."

"It is a beautiful property and our unit was spectacular. It had the best balcony view of the ocean and pool area. The amenities in the unit were extremely helpful (ice chest, beach chairs, boogie boards). Communication and check in/check out is very easy! We will be back."

"Best kept secret for Kaanapali beach resorts! Everything accessible with no elevators, crowds, or chaos. Free wi-fi, parking and best stretch of beach ever. Pool never crowded, plenty of chairs and unlimited towels at front desk. Free coffee 7am-11am. Stayed in Coconut Building and room had double queen beds and full stainless kitchen. "The resort was amazing; however, on our last day we decided to go to Royal Scoops for our final coffee and we saw a roach on the counter that made its way to where the pastries were. Also, there was one bartender (older gentleman) at Lahaina Noon who was dismissive and was gone for 30 min without letting anyone know or getting someone to fill in while he took a break."

"Not a great check-in experience, room had pulled up carpet and broken lamp (upgraded bungalow room) and was not worth the price we paid. Restaurants and Luau on-site were overpriced and underwhelming. The only upside was the manager Gretchen that helped us to move to a different room (lower priced), but better view. We didn't get any money back, but Gretchen was very nice and helped us out."
