"Die Buchung dieses Hotels war leider eine Fehlentscheidung. Wir kamen gegen 18:30 Uhr an. Noch an der Haustür kam eine junge Mitarbeiterin und brachte uns sofort zum Zimmer. Sie ging mit hinein, kam sofort zum Thema und wollte wissen wann wir zum Abendessen gehen und welches Menu wir haben möchten. Wir waren völlig überrumpelt. Sie sagte, wirklich müssten uns sofort entscheiden. Ich bat um 10 Min. Bedenkzeit. Sie wies uns dann auf die Frühstückszeit 8-9:00 h hin. Ein Unding solch eine kurze...

"Our stay was a journey down memory lane for me. The hotel was still lovely and popular, the room was clean and albeit small as a twin, it was in keeping with such a historic building and the lady on the bar, who checked us in couldn’t be more welcoming. The kitchen even catered amazingly for a veggie and a vegan option breakfast. The hotel is centrally located for the beautiful village of Eyam’s history trail, tea rooms and local walks with good parking facilities. "

"Was a lovely place to stay, not too far from anything we wanted to do which was great. The host had kindly left milk, butter and eggs for us in the kitchen which we appreciated! The house was tidy and clean. My only comment would be that there were lots of cobwebs in the rooms but otherwise we had a lovely stay "

"Amazing 17th century coaching Inn. Fabulous room and great bathroom. Lovely dinner in the restaurant and so nice to sit in the lounge (with no tv), and enjoy the music and play cards. It was a wonderful stay, and the bonus packed lunch with brilliant! "

"No shampoo or washcloth. One towel for two people. No Kleenex. Very basic room for £150 is not worth it. Find any other hotel that at least offers shampoo. "

"Great location with easy access to surrounding towns and hikes with bus stop right outside. Good breakfast options to fuel up before heading out for the day. Very helpful and friendly staff. Will definitely be back."

"I loved the place, I was welcomed with a welcome package with tea and supplies. It was a 245 year old cottage so it has a few “features” which I loved the most about the place. I loved the three story staircase which was very good cardio. I’d love to stay again wonderful "

"Hotel was full of big dogs, more kennel than hotel. Spa is only available at extra cost. Won’t stay again. "

"We attended a family wedding held at the hotel. Everything was great for our overnight stay. The staff were very helpful helping us with our luggage as due to the age of the building there are no lifts available. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. A small negative for us was the shower was in a bathtub which was a little tricky to get in/out."
